New Members orientation program – First Light - Spring 2017

Submitted by webteam.rascto… on 2 March 2017

The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, Toronto Centre, invites new members and their family, who are also members, to join an orientation get-together  which we call “First Light”.

If you have joined RASC Toronto Centre in the years of 2016 and 2017 and have yet to attend an orientation get-together, we would like to formally welcome you to the society and to provide information about the activities and opportunities within the Club. We shall help you get started with observing, learning, sharing and enjoying astronomy! Above all, let’s get to know each other. Let us answer questions and address curiosities about the club and discuss anything related to our hobby!

We shall meet three Wednesdays in April/May 2017. The dates are April 26th, May 10th and May 24th, from 7:30pm to 9:30 pm (approx).

Main topics will be orientation to RASC Toronto Centre activities, “Astronomy on a budget”, astrophotography, the certificate programs, logging and sketching your observations and the telescope loan program.

Venue of the Spring 2017 First Light is the Ontario Science Centre.

The program is for members only. Please register online. We shall send you a confirmation email.
