RH DDO calendar

The David Dunlap Observatory is open and actively serving the public. RASC Toronto Centre (along with other partners) regularly run programmes including a speakers series and family nights during the warmer months. The calendar below shows upcoming RASC events. Hyperlinks in day slots will connect to the Richmond Hill bookings web page.

Members are encouraged to review this calendar to gain a good sense of all the things we do and where we need excellent support from enthusiastic volunteers.

See the DDO Programs page at the Richmond Hill web site for other activities and events, such as historical tours and group bookings.

See our DDO directions page for location information.

Please wear/bring appropriate supplies for being outdoors. In the warmer months, the mosquitos will be waiting. Use bug repellant and wear white or light colours. Khaki, beige, and olive do not seem attract the insects. Cover up with loose, long sleeved shirts and pants. In the shoulder seasons, spring and fall, wear clothing for several degrees cooler.

Guests: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the program start time in order to be signed in.

Volunteers: Arrive 30 to 45 minutes ahead.

See the RASC Toronto Centre general Events Page for planned activities in the Greater Toronto Area as well as astronomical events.
