Between Tobermory and South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island, Ontario, the Chi-Cheemaun ferry travels through some of the darkest skies in North America. Ed Treijs explains some of the joys and challenges of doing outreach on a moving ferry. He shows how he uses the Stellarium program to find some interesting conjunctions, which he showed to the passengers on the ferry. He gave this presentation at the Recreation Astronomy Night meeting, which was held on November 13, 2019 at the Ontario Science Centre. Ed is a member and Councillor of the RASC, Toronto Centre. The Owen Sound Transportation Company operates the ferry and is a proud sponsor of our Centre.
